Poster Design

The design for the poster is now selected and decided. You hear it first, here at filament2009.wordpress.com. Whoot!

Poster designs are also in the final stages of confirmation (we’re letting all the filmmakers that are part of Filament 2009 vote) and will be released once it’s been decided!

The A/V department from Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information is also helping us out with various logistics issue. Many thanks to Vincent! (Hip hip hurray!)

• Filament, SCI’s graduate film fest was no low show.
• If impact was anything to go by, Filament was a success.
• As for me, I would gladly spend my Friday night supporting Singapore’s underdog film scene all over again.

• This year’s projects were generally of a much higher quality and one reason for this could be the willingness to engage external help to give the films a more professional touch to it.

Filament 08 – Most well-attended Singapore Indie film screening so far

• The audience turn out for last weekend’ Filament 08 was itching to tell me so many more people could be watching local indie films then the usual paltry turnouts.
• I did not see a crowd of an equivalent size at Kinofest which is the Ngee Ann Poly equivalent of this event, nor `Fly-by-nite’ last year.

Inspiring and Motivating Words of Wisdom

Our chief organiser (ie, Mr Ang Guangzheng… heh…) has decided we should put up some inspiring quotes from the filmmakers.

Hopefully, through these “words-of-wisdom”, you get inspired to pick up that camera (be it a professional video camera or your Sony-Ericsson phone) and made that film/movie you’ve always wanted to make.

Do it! It’s not that difficult… Er… Okay, should I be slapping my own mouth now? Ok ok, I shall shaddup…
